Chargers GM Tom Telesco told reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday that Allen "isn't going anywhere." The 30-year-old wide receiver has two years remaining on his contract and owns a $21.7 million cap hit for 2023.
"Keenan Allen, to me, he's our Andre Reed. He's our Charlie Joiner," Telesco said Wednesday on NFL Network's Good Morning Football. "He's an incredible football player. We have a great quarterback and we need weapons around him. There's never been any thought of that."
Allen has played his entire 10-year NFL career with the Chargers. He missed seven games in 2022 due to injuries, finishing with just 752 receiving yards on 62 receptions.
